LAS VEGAS - RE/MAX Real Estate Central in Calgary, Alberta, is showing no signs of slowing, as it closed out 2005 with 6,670 transaction sides and its seventh consecutive No. 1 award as top office.
Co-Broker/Owners Pat Hare and Paul Mair, who have been partners for 26 years and with the RE/MAX network for 21, insist on giving credit where credit is due.
"It's all about having good people on the team," Mair says.
With an Associate force that is 181 strong - the largest single office in Canada - Hare and Mair have established a winning team that last year averaged 38 sides per Associate and posted a sales volume of about $2 billion.
Sales Associates Alice Mateyko and Tim Logel took the No. 1 and No. 2 spots, respectively, for transaction sides among individuals in Canada. Logel and fellow Associates Gordon Ross, John Mele, John Linster, Donna Rooney and Joel Semmens each earned a spot on one of the year's Top 100 lists for commissions. Ross ranked No. 3 among individuals in Canada for residential commissions.
RE/MAX Real Estate Central is a fixture in the network, with many Associates consistently earning their way into the top production clubs. In 2005, 27 Associates reached the Platinum Club level and 11 achieved Chairman's Club level. Twelve Associates have earned Lifetime Achievement Awards and more than 60 are Hall of Fame members.
The office's longtime support staff also shares its success. The team includes 2003 RE/MAX International Manager of the Year, Vern Tetz and Assistant Manager Nick Profeta, who both contribute greatly, the Co-Broker/Owners say.
